Where I Get Books

If you love reading like me but you don't have unlimited income, books can be pretty expensive. Even if you get them on sale, they could still cost you quite a bit. That being said, I love buying books because if I borrow them from the library, I feel like I'm pushed to read it. It's just so much better reading them on my own terms.

So, here is a guide I put together of how I get books outside the regular routes.

Audible
I listen to audiobooks when I'm driving since traffic can get pretty heavy. I haven't looked into other audiobook services but Audible is definitely a good one. You can choose your price point (Gold, Platinum, Annual) and you have rollover credits. Since you can get any book you want with the credit, it's a nice way to try out some of the more expensive audiobooks. You also get discounts for membership and special deals throughout the year.

Book Outlet (my share link)
BookOutlet is a great place to find bargain books online. They have a pretty wide selection and sometimes even have promos going to stack onto the already discounted prices. The selection is always changing so it's nice to visit every once in a while to see if they have a book you want in.

Book Warehouse
This is the brick-and-mortar version of Book Outlet. They aren't everywhere so check the locations to see if they have a place near you. There aren't many locations, but if they do have one near you it's definitely worth checking out.

Kindle Unlimited
I actually have a kindle and so at $9.99/month, this isn't a bad deal. They also have a 30-day trial to see if you like it. There is a 10-book limit for how much you can hold at one time, but it is unlimited reading. You just need to switch them out after you are done reading.
